Splitting integrators for spiking neuron models

Master’s thesis on splitting methods for structure-preserving integration of deterministic and stochastic neuronal models. The considered models are Fitz-Hugh Nagumo, Izhikevich, Adaptive Exponetial and Van der Pol. Supervised by Massimiliano Tamborrino.

Hypergraphical extensions to randomly grown neural networks

Simulation project providing a branching process model of a growing neural network and algorithms for generalisation to hypergraphs. Generalisations include E-I networks, Hopfield networks, deep-learning networks and clustered networks of long/short range neurons.
